Well, I live in Singapore (for those who don't know) and every year we have a independence day event called National Day Parade. Every year, a song is created or taken from the past. Almost every year I teared up until 2007. That was the year the NDP changed it venue from Kallang Stadium to TheFloat@MarinaBay. This music video(not the song) is about the shift.It is called "Will You"
Amazing. Emma Yong was singing in this. A talentedSingaporean who lost the battle with cancer. (I kinda look up to her. She has a great singing voice) I have to admit that the songs after that year was quite distasteful. I don't feel that Singapore Spirit anymore.
Until 2011...
When they came out with the song "In a Heartbeat". This made me tear again because it is just so nice. I wanted to attend NDP'11 because that year, the Parade was just exciting! Ah well, I just hope that this year, 2013, the organizers will find a good song writer and come out with a good song or throw in the past songs and get the original singer to sing it again.
